Continuing the success of previous years, “The scar of Life 9” has been organized by Heartbeat Vietnam and The VinaCapital Foundation on 30 November 2019. This year, approximately VND14,5 billion (USD629,769) was raised which equals to the operation cost for 527 children with congenital heart defects. The eventgathered more than 350 business leaders and artists in the premiere of the short movie “The Paper Plane” directed by Jun Pham. Ngo Thanh Van, Ambassador of Heartbeat Vietnam, hoped to send out a message of “Giving love to heal lives” and called for public attention to disadvantageous children.
