Odysseus, or any traveler on a journey, must always keep Ithaka in mind, because it is his or her final destination. Ithaca is his most famous poem. Because of the experiences that I found difficult to deal with, I now feel more prepared to deal with my future, and I’m excited at what’s to come. The poet is implying that it is always necessary to be optimistic and hopeful. Then, he will not expect Ithaka to make him rich. The joy of defeating Poseidon.
